About Dr. Ramona

Dr. Ramona Shires, a long-time resident of Pensacola, specializes in using holistic principles and modalities to help her clients restore their health.  Dr. Shires earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine at National University of Health Sciences, a 4-year full-time in-residence accredited naturopathic medical school.  She is a licensed naturopathic physician in the State of Vermont and is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the professional organization representing naturopathic physicians in the U.S.  Dr. Shires is also a Certified Nutrition Specialist® professional.

Dr.  Shires is also an Associate Pranic Healer, Certified Hypnotist and Professional Educator. She began studying health and wellness 17 years ago in an effort to heal herself from the side effects of a radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer.  In 2000, she learned of Edgar Cayce and the ARE center in Virginia Beach, VA, started learning about natural remedies, and began applying several of the Cayce remedies with great success. She began using aromatherapy and nutrition to help heal her fibromyalgia-like symptoms.

She furthered her career in healing through hypnotherapy by becoming a Certified Hypnotist in August 2007 from the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) and continued her certification studies in Advanced Hypnotherapy techniques in early 2008 from the International Association of Counselors & Therapists (IACT) . She is past president and active member of the IACT and past member of the NGH.

In August 2007, she attended her first MCKS Pranic Healing workshop, Energetic Solutions, conducted by Master Marilag Mendoza. She was so impressed with the healing she received at the workshop that she began attending the Meditation on Twin Hearts events at the Center for Pranic Healing and Wellness and four months later, attended the MCKS Basic Pranic Healing class. Within the first six months, she attended the advanced classes to become a proficient healer and entered the Pranic Healer Trainer's class. In July 2010, she received her Pranic Healing Trainer certification.

As a professional educator with 35+ years in education and training and two educational degrees (BA in Elementary Education and MA in Educational Leadership), Dr. Shires assisted the Center for Pranic Healing with the Distance Learning courses for the Healer Certification Program and became an Associate Pranic Healer.
